Imagine this...

Take a few minutes to put yourself in the place I was last night...

Last night, the 25th of August was no normal Tuesday.  One Direction performed in Milwaukee for the first time in their 5 year history as a band.
As you know, I've been a fan and have supported them since 2011, parts of 2012 I wasn't because of pressure from people around me, Isn't that greatttt.  But guess what?  I don't care anymore of what anyone thinks of what I listen to or what I like.
Almost one year ago, October 2014, they announced they would be coming to Milwaukee, obviously I was excited and wanted to go.  Without going into detail of the months between October and May (not the greatest time of my life to be completely honest!!), I had some trouble actually getting someone to go with me. My wonderful friend agreed to go with me finally.  Our tickets arrived in May and I started counting down the days...

Last night it came to life.  Of course I still feel like it was a dream. The fact that they were in front of me is incredible.  My favorite songs live was just surreal.
Proud to admit, I cried almost the entire show and regret none of that. My arms hurt and I was thirsty and hungry but I gave it my all to really live in that moment because like I had prepared myself to be, it was the best day of my entire life.
I had never been so excited in my entire 16  years. Now, I have never been as sad that something was over or missed people so much.
The music, the people... just amazing.  (Living proof last night that Directioners aren't 12.  We were when we started liking them, obviously! Mostly everyone was my age or older!)
I know they say similar things each show, but the sincerity was real. They meant every word.  They really did love it here, I could tell.

Do you know what its like to have 4 favorite people that you have never met or until yesterday, seen, but completely trust them and love them more than anything else?  Well I do.  Because who was there when no one else was?  They were.  They may not know the details, but they realize that people feel this way and it makes them so thankful.  I could not ask for a better group of people to support and love. The awards we help them win by tweeting hashtags endless times a day, the songs we trend and get to the top charts without anyone else promoting it?  I love this family of Directioners and I love Harry. Niall. Louis and Liam more than anything.  They have made my life more exciting, given me something to really be passionate about and something that I have made so many friends through.  Think of all the lessons I've learned from just loving a band! Crazy. Maybe you think I'm overdoing it, but other people feel this way too and I cannot explain how happy I was last night to finally see them.

I am still in disbelief.
As a plus, Niall's hair was so fluffy and Louis had his the way I like it the most and Harry.. his hair is always perfect and Liam's is always in perfect place.  They all wore the outfits I had hoped they would, that was fantastic LOL.
And they played four different 5SOS music videos before and I got to see them on the big screen <3
And when Harry threw water into the crowd from his bottle, I was hit with it... I'VE BEEN GIVEN NEW LIFE :')

They talked about our state and that they loved it here.  They talked about cheese and the Packers and how excited they were.  They said they loved us and were so thankful.  And I knew they meant it.

I wish I could thank them personally, but until that day I'm gonna keep doing what I am now.

Here are the best of the terrible quality pictures I took!

I don't think I will ever get used to the fact I. SAW. THEM.
Unbelievable.  Best day of my life <3

Really random fandom stuff and WOW THREE DAYS TO 1D

Hey guys!!!

Welcome to another one of my casual rants,

What I am preparing myself to be the best day of my life, is just three days away.
I already know One Direction is going to go way over my high expectations because, they're that awesome.

This week, they released their new music video for Drag me Down which is super epic because it was filmed at NASA. Here is the link!!!! Drag me Down video
That song is so catchy, I will never get over it,

Aaaaand that same day, 5SOS performed on GMA and they ROCKEDDDDDD.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND 5SOS new album is getting closer too!!! Don't forget, its October 23rd!!  You can pre order it on their site and elsewhere: Pre Order Sounds Good Feels Good

Oh and just to go over this, Thursday morning I was at my friends house, everyone was sleeping but me.  I was scrolling through Twitter and saw the hashtag #WeLoveYouMichael.  Figured something bad happened, so I checked it out.
Just so happens, my main bae, Michael Clifford of 5SOS, opened up about his mental health at a show.  He has never mentioned it before and said he had gone to therapy the other day while on break.  I was really hit by it, as was the rest of the 5SOS fam.  People had claimed it to be a joke, but when they were on GMA, he spoke briefly saying "He is taking care of it"
So there I was, upset and honestly, didn't want to talk about it because TEARS,
Heres an article too: http://www.billboard.com
Wow so many links in this post.

We already had known this but I quote:
"Earlier this summer, 5SOS drummer Ashton Irwin admitted that he’s “dealt with anxiety and depression in my life” and said the group’s upcoming record, due out this fall, will tackle some of those personal issues. “With our next album we want to sort of have more messages for life involved in what we do because we have a voice for young people,” Irwin said."

Also, they keep saying they are starting something called the New Broken Scene, also a lyric from the single Shes Kinda Hot. Ashton calls it a revolution for misfit kids of the time, who feel like they have no where to go.  Sounds pretty good right?  Well it all comes to life in their new album :D
I swear I should be a promoter ok? ok,

BACK TO MY ORIGINAL TOPIC!!!

I AM SEEING ONE DIRECTION.  I'M GONNA SEE NIALL PLAY HIS GUITAR, AND HARRY'S HAIR FLIP, AND LIAM POINT TO THE CROWD AND TELL EVERYONE TO BE LOUDER AND ASK IF WE'RE HAVING A GOOD TIME AND LOUIS TO ROCK THOSE HEAVENLY HARMONIES AND TOTALLY SMASH 'NO CONTROL'. yep, okay.
I'm excited now, haha.

I will be totalllyyyyy posting pics here the next day or so, maybe a snapchat video too or IG picture :)

WISH ME LUCK OK???  I might post the day of it as well!!!!

A day in the life of...

If you had one tweet to send to One Direction one their anniversary, what would it say?
I don't know what mine would be because yesterday I sent a lot more than one!
Yesterday marked five years of One Direction.
I can't be thankful enough for them, for their music and talents, for their smiles and the friends I've gained through this fandom, for being one of the only things to bring tears to my eyes, yet lots of laughter.
I'm most thankful that four of these genuine people have stayed together and proven through words and actions that they care. All their tweets yesterday really made a point. I'm really proud of how far they have come.
Congratulations to them:D
A month from tomorrow I'll be seeing them and I'm so thankful that I get to do this.
In light of this, I thought I'd share this with you...

A day in the life of a Directioner

Okay so maybe most of us have twitter accounts, maybe most of us wake up and check our phones.
What do I do?  I respond to messages from internet friends, retweet the latest fandom stuff and maybe do a few indirects (pretty much means rating people's accounts based on their tweets, layout and bio). I start the day pretty normal, coffee, getting ready, whatever else I have to do.
So lets just say some drama is going on. Maybe theres a new rumor.  EVERYONE IS FREAKING OUT.  ITS #2 TRENDING WORLDWIDE ON TWITTER. And the rumor is fake.  Freak out or not? I usually don't.
Lets not even talk about when they post in Instagram... its usually too much to handle especially if its a selfie.

My day goes on and hey, why not listen to some music.  Put my favorite album on shuffle and there we go.  Maybe write some fanfiction, make an edit for someone, etc.
Then theres that constant thought "what are they doing, what did they eat today, what songs are they writing, where are they hanging out this weekend, what would i do if i saw them..."  the list goes on.
Then theres updating your phone wallpaper with new pictures. Deciding between a picture of your fave(NIALL) or the newest picture of Louis in concert last night is NOT easy.

Then theres money, how much should I save incase I see some merch I want to buy?  Things like that.
By the end of the day while you're throwing out your 11:11 tweet and saving the last chapter of you fanfiction, you can usually go to sleep peacefully.
Everyday is exciting!! Trying not to remind someone that their sentence sounded like a one direction lyric, etc.  It never ends.
But I wouldn't trade it for anything!!

Happy fifth anniversary 1D!

xxLizzie

Mid summer updates

I have been super inactive on Blogger lately.  Updating and even reading other blogs.  Summer camps have finally ended for me before I move on to the next part of my summer!

Counselling two camps with different age groups was super amazing and fun.  Most of the girls there were fantastic!
Being home is weird!  Lat weekend I was in my camper with my friends and now I'm actually at home again and last night slept in my own bed for the first time since July 4th.
I can't update with pictures right now but I had a great two weeks of camp.  From my last post I was super wiped out and that was true but I really did enjoy it as usual.

I can get back to usual posts before I go on vacation, etc.

Also today, 5SOS released their new single "She's kinda hot".  Even I thought it sounded like the stupidest song yet but nope.  don't judge a song by its title because the lyrics and music are amazing. They say its a great lead up for the album and they are releasing a video soon.  The song honestly has nothing to do with the title after the first verse.  Super catchy too of course.

-40 DAYS TILL ONE DIRECTION FOR ME- yes!

Updating again soon!

Summer Mission Camp with pictures

Like I had introduced in my last post, I went to my summer mission camp from last Sunday to yesterday (Thursday). It was different from our usual camp setup, as this year we were teaching Hispanic children from the area.  In the morning we would have a talk and breakfast and maybe an activity and then in the afternoon we'd set up our activities and games for the kids.
The children that came were from ages 5-12 and from a local church. The church currently doesn't really have any religious education for the kids, so in winter and spring we hosted day camps for them as well. Now we offered our week of camp to host a camp for them.  We split into rotating groups each day so each team of us could experience the different age groups and activities for them. It was so great.  Everyone loved it and the parents were very grateful.  Also even educational for me when the children spoke Spanish and it was great to learn a bit more and practice with them. I really, really liked this week.

These two pictures above are from a room in the new addition to the Schoenstatt center in Waukesha. Its  a new room for the Girls Youth that the Wisconsin leaders titled 'The little kingdom', where in May we crowned the picture of the Blessed Mother together as the Wisconsin leaders circle.
We have new couches, curtains, etc. and it worked really well for hosting our first camp so far in the new room.

Each afternoon we took the kids outside for their snack. There was around 50 kids total!

This photo above is of me (I'm 4th from the left side) and the work team I led this week for helping with chores after meals and group discussions through the week,  Two of my friends (both girls next to me) were in my group and three new girls I made friends with :)

Just a photo of two of the leaders teaching the children about the Schoenstatt shrine.

Three pictures above are from our bonfire on Tuesday night.  Each night after the children left and after dinner, we all did something fun.  I actually strongly dislike the bonfires at camp but thankfully the weather was nice and there was no mosquitos.

Wednesday night the whole camp of 35-ish girls went out for ice cream! The photo under my ice cream is (from left to right) My best friend, Ellen, me, my super good friend Clare and our Youth sister in Waukesha.

This picture is of Clare and I in our matching shirts we bought in Germany!

Me and my team again!^

In the midst of 50 children, my really good friend, Abby, Ellen and I.

We decorated the garage for the children's crafts!

If you follow my Instagram, you may have seen this top picture. The bottom one is with two college age girls who are involved with Schoenstatt and are travelling around the country to host summer camps, a super special opportunity!
Apart from endless selfies, these are the photos I took :) I had a really great week, reuniting with friends and making new ones! Also such a wonderful experience teaching and playing with the kids that came!

Pretty much the most exciting news EVER.

Yesterday was a day of relief.  Anyone wanna guess what happened...?

After a loooong 6 months of knowing 1D was coming to Milwaukee, I FINALLY got my tickets.
I am pretty sure I can say I worked super hard for this.  Trying to get someone to go with me, trying to get money, trying not to die while doing that... well it paid off!!!  Because I have 2 tickets for Section R row 22 for ONE DIRECTION ON THE ROAD AGAIN TOUR 7PM AUGUST 25TH 2015 MILLER PARK MILWAUKEE WISCONSIN!!!!!!!!!!

Sooo many people get to go see 1D every time they tour and lots of people who hardly like them get front row tickets.  Thats not fair.  I mean lets be honest here, how would you feel if there was some people you've never met you can legitimately say have pretty much saved your life and keep you sane and you can't afford to even be in the same room as them??  Then after much hard work you FINALLY get a chance to see them.  They have made you laugh and smile and if you cry, its about them!
At this point I am more relieved than excited!
Even though I won't be able to meet them, I cannot believe I am actually going to see them live.
I have been so so so worried about this for such a long time.  I really don't want anything right now but this.  If I have to live in a dumpster I guess I'd be kinda okay with that hahaha.  I mean even if you don't like One Direction, seeing them live still has to sound pretty cool, right?

And also, I ordered a new phone so now I can snapchat and go on Instagram again!!! :D

April Favorites | a little late!

Not sure if you remember, but, a few posts ago I said I'd do favorites of the past month.  I forgot to do that but as its still the first few days of May, I think I can slide in my April favorites!!

Favorite:

Song - One of my fave songs this month was probably 'Dont you go', from All time Low's new album!

Movie - I didn't see any new movies last month but if I had my choice to watch a movie it probably would have been a Marvel movie anyways!

Outfit - Probably my black jeans and my blue tie front shirt that has a white collar (SO CUTE)

Nail polish color - My fave blue color!

EOS - The tangerine one, definitely

Fruit - STRAWBERRIES as usual.  Grapefruit came in with a close tie.

Quote - Had to look into this answer!  "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." E. Roosevelt

Thing I did - Hmmm... I guess this past weekend with my friends was definitely the best thing  I did this month and most of the year so far, to be honest!   (post for that coming soon!)

Looking forward to keeping track of what I really liked this month!!

Thoughts

Having less is having more.  When I'm older and move out and have my own place, I want everything to be simple.  Not just meaning black and white decor.  But I actually want to have as few things as possible.  I think that helps keep a straight mindset towards your goal.  It gives you the ideal so start from scratch and work your way to the top.

If you look at life with this perspective, things can be taken more seriously.  You can think in a humble attitude.  You can see what is really important and who is important.
But who IS important?
Important people in your life is anyone who you yourself feels connected to and is bringing positivity to your life.  Someone once told me that if the person is just giving you negative feelings, they're not worth the trouble.  And it can be hard but sometimes you need to shove someone out of your life but if something isn't working out, you have to accept the fact you can still be friends or whatever, but not the way you used to be.  Because sometimes we can only help one another grow so much and maybe its time to move on.  There is only so many people who you can stick with your whole life.  Maybe you have helped that person in every way possible and you both need to start fresh.

The first step to starting fresh is picking out what you do and do not need.  Material things, inner thoughts, etc.  it could be an old shirt you've been holding on to.  or a person, a thought, a grudge held against someone.  Whatever it is, if its not bringing you happiness and helping you towards your goal, get rid of it.  Sometimes not entirely but maybe turn your feelings towards it down a notch.  maybe all you need to do is clean your room to feel fresh.  Or maybe you have a whole bunch of junk stored up in your life.

Sometimes i think "why do teenagers my age have to deal with this stuff mentally, emotionally and psychically, when we should have to go through this 'putting things away' as adults...?"
Maybe we are the people who need to learn that now.  Maybe we will be the people who will be able to make it through the rest of our life mostly fresh and clean since we have this experience now.

I believe in minimalism, simplicity, individuality and true freedom.
Don't change for anyone!  Unless you feel like you're doing something wrong, then change but its up to you who you want to be.  But something some people misunderstand is that God gave us who we are.  our nationality, our gender, our personality, etc.  You can't change those things and if you long for a change of something like that (who you are in general, not detail) that can not be changed most times.  And if it can it may not be the right intention; give it thought.  We have to sometimes accept who we are and work around it to be who we want to be while being who we are MEANT and SUPPOSED to be. Everyone should be respected as a dignified individual, so why not respect yourself first?

I think true freedom is acceptance of yourself and while loving yourself, you can feel free.  And detachment of things that are not helping us. Because most of the time, whats holding you back, is yourself.

#InternetBestFriendDay

Today is:   #InternetBestFriendDay
I know alot of people who think idea idea of having a friend online is stupid.  But I also know a few people who don't think so. Even my mom has internet friends!
Sure some people online are jerks or strange; but like me, if you follow the right people on Pinterest or Twitter, there are a lot of great people out there.
I met my internet bestie back in September and I am SO GLAD she messaged me.
My internet best friend and I had the same interests, issues and we just got along super well! We've helped each other through alot and have had a lot of great laughs.
I haven't met her yet but I know for sure that will be the best day ever!
So thanks to her and social media for one of the best friends ever<3

Another 5 years

I'm so sorry, I know there was one of these the other day but I couldn't help but post about this one...

#5YearsSinceNiallsAudition

5 years ago today there was a 16 year old boy named Niall Horan. Came from a sweet family in a small town and lived in a tiny house in Ireland. But this boy was special, as much as he liked sports, he liked to sing. He learned guitar at a young age and loved being in the spotlight. He had a great sense of humor and seemed perfect for such a role.
A while later he found himself in a band. All because of the one day he got up on that stage in front of judges and sang. He gave us his voice and we gave him our hearts from day 1.
He hasn't changed much, this kid. He's 21 and loves to sing. He plays guitar and has the best of times with his band now. There are many times I can prove why he is such an amazing person in general.
And if I had to pick one person in the world to meet, it'd be him. Sometimes he is the only reason I (and lots of other people) smile. I think thats because of HIS smile. And if anyone ever doubts that my proof is that I'm here and I'm happy.
Congratulations Niall. You made it. You took on the world with one short song and you didn't let us down. Not even once. I can't wait to see whats ahead!

Thanks for bearing with me.  I'm gonna be interviewing someone this week with fun questions for a post so look out for that!

One of the Greatest

Hey guys!  So today is just a kind of special day.  Its 5 whole years since Harry Styles auditioned for  the X factor.
Harry tweeted this today:
"It's been five years. Thank you for all your support so far. Isn't it lovely. H"
Harrys Audition is here <<< if you've never seen it before.

I just copied and pasted below something I tweeted by using twitlonger:

#5YearsSinceHarrysAudition

Harry Styles. Was 16 and worked in a bakery. Had great parents and probably a beautiful childhood alongside his older sister. Can you imagine though... what it felt like step on that stage. Clearing your voice on last time and singing just a few lines of a song.
But look Harry, you made it. One of the most well known people on the planet. A beautiful voice and definitely a wonderful rolemodel. Congratulations Harry. In just 5 years, which is a long time when you think about it, you have touched hearts and saved lives, spent time with people who needed it and done great things, achieved and reached your dreams. You have wonderful life experience.
What more could you want in someone to look up to.
Harry Styles. 21 and travels the world with his friends and writes words that save lives and has fun and gets up on stage almost every day of the year, it seems. Has great parents and probably the most beautiful life we may never get to see inside of. But he'll always be a part of our lives, growing up and learning to live life, alongside someone (far away, yes) called Harry Styles.

Harry last summer

From a small stage and judges, to this...

5 years ago he was reaching across the counter of a bakery and now he's reaching over the stage to the people who put him where he is.

He gave us a smile, and shares his talents. You can hate him or love him, but Harry Styles (I think at least)  is one of the most amazing people.

Short post!

Yesterday I got my braces off!!

So heres a picture of my 'brand new' teeth!   I have to wear a retainer for 6 months but I love how they look :)

Ignore the mess in the background... and my posters...

Last night was funny and cheered me up; Someone on Twitter that I follow made up a hashtag, that ended up trending.  How cool is that? It was: #CarrotForANight
Meaning we'd pretend to be really new and fake 1D fans.  (We call those people carrots because of something in an old One Direction video.... we're really mean...)
So we pretended to be 'Carrots', as we call them.  It really cheered everyone up.  Instead of all this sad, depressing stuff.  And I have to say, Twitter today is a lot happier than it has been the past two days!

I know I've put this in a post before, but does anyone have any book suggestions for summer?  Thanks :)

I hope you all enjoy the weekend or if you are on spring break. Sorry this is so short.

Buying One Direction ? +more

Day 2 of One Direction without Zayn Malik.

The day started out pretty depressing on Twitter.... until the fandom decided we could RAISE MONEY AND BUY One Direction. If all 23M or how many of us donates $37 we could buy them...?  Extremely questionable.... but someone just donated $300.  Well I hope you don't miss your $300 if we can't buy them.  This is insane.  I'M STAYIN OUT OF THIS ONE.

Also today, Zayn went to a studio.  Which of course we are all mad about since Zayn claimed he wants to have a normal life, well then buddy, why are you walking into a recording studio........

In the middle of the night, the other 4 boys tweeted. Harry and Niall pretty much said they loved us.  Liam said he was happy to be in bed after a long day and then posted an old picture of himself to cheer us up.  Louis said this is just making them try even harder to create good music for us now.

In any case, I'm still upset over this and will be.  I'm staying out of donating money... thats just insane...
But I am getting my braces off today... but thats not making me any happier.

What I did last weekend (+and more)

♧ Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

I kept forgetting to post pictures of what I bought last weekend with my friends!

First, I got this adorable Aztec Print wallet for $2!  Yeah, only $2!!!
I actually don't remember where I got it because we went to so many stores it might have been Charlotte Russe... no idea.  Anyway, its a lot bigger than my other wallet! But of course I'll still use that one but this one is a bit nicer for spring and summer.

Next, I got an All Time Low wristband from HotTopic for $7.  It's hard to see the words on the wristband obviously because its round... haha.

Last but definitely not least, my friends bought me a 5SOS shirt from HotTopic for my birthday! Yayyy!!!  Its so wonderful.

Oh! And I finally bought myself an eyelash curler for $1. I kept forgetting I wanted one. I think those are just really nice and make your eyes look more open. And i have this horrible problem where my eyelashes get like, stuck together and this seems to help so far!

One more thing!  Tomorrow I have an appointment for getting a mold thing made for my retainer when my braces come off! The day they come off is getting closer!!! :D
