A few giveaway details!

Hey, so now I have 38 followers!  Great news:) Even more than I expected.
So...that giveaway... here are some of the details that I have thought about:

  • Winner will be chosen at random
  • Over-seas followers (meaning not in USA) cannot participate in giveaway because of the cost and all expenses of sending an over-sea package.  Yet, these followers can still enter and I will choose at random for a post about their blog and a shout-out here and on other social sites for publicity of their blog, with their permission.
  • Giveaway prize will be a surprise! :D
  • You can enter for the giveaway in the comments.  Just leave your first name.  After I randomly choose I will notify you and ask for address... etc.
  • I will give 3-5 days (have not decided yet) for people to enter
  • I will ship the package anywhere in the U.S.
I have not thought of a day for the giveaway to start yet.  But I will obviously post about it as soon as I figure it out.
And since so far, there are only 38 followers, and even less that will enter, you have a GOOD chance at winning!  So, get excited!!!
Hopefully I can start this within the next week.

Hey!!!!  I have 35 followers!! I have reached my current goal.
So during this week, I will start organizing ideas for my GIVEAWAY!  Like, how to enter...etc.  So keep checking here for details!!  :)  And thank you so much to my followers and anyone who passed my link around!

One more thing.
Sorry to be so random about this... but today is the 4 year anniversary of One Direction!!!  Yes I know it seems lame, but its not to me and a lot of other people.
You may remember them as those 5 people who sang 'What makes you Beautiful' back in 2011.  Well, they did do that, and have still come a long way.  When they were first popular, I hated them and then listened to them again in 2012 when their 2nd album came out.  After that I despised them.  And then back in like, April I finally got their 3rd album that came out last year.  I really liked the music and then suddenly my best friend and I just totally went insane and now we are Directioners.  So, I was half and half for a while :P
But overall, its not just their music, its not just them... they've helped a lot of people and been a lot of places.  These people created a huge fandom.  Directioners everywhere talk to each other, write fan-fictions and support each other and the band. Posters, name it.  But lots of people send One Direction hate, directly, like through twitter for example and even death threats to their girlfriends!  I can't imagine doing that :\  And lots of people also send Directioners hate.
But anyhow...I just wanted to say HAPPY 1D DAY to any Directioner followers I have!  I know I have some ;)

"In 2010, 5 strangers were put together as a band now called One Direction"
Give yourself an imaginary piece of cake :)

Back to...normal

Well here I am at home.  I have been gone for 15 days.  It seemed long, but not so long.... I did enjoy being gone (of course) but woahhhhh AM I HAPPY TO BE BACK ON PINTEREST!!!!!!!!!  Hahaha.
So the last week of camp was super fun too!  And camping was fun except for the bugs which were horrid.
Tomorrow, I will be filling out the two more blogger awards I have to do.  Can't wait to do that :)  I also can't wait for Wednesday, and for a lame reason to 'outsiders' if I may call them that.  Wednesday is One Direction day!!!!  The 4th anniversary of the band!  Not doing anything special but I can't wait to see everyone on Pinterest go crazy =D
And one more reason for being excited:  I get to talk to my best friend on a regular basis again!!!
Not saying I didn't like being gone ('cause I LOVED it) but yeah.
Well, I will post those award things tomorrow!!!
Last, but certainly not least... I only have one more follower until I reach my current goal of 35 followers........remember my plan for that giveaway?  So pleeeeaseeee pass on my blog link, I mean I just need one person :)

One more thing XD

Just remembered... remember my post about that writing contest entry?  Yeah?  Okay well I got an Honorable Mention!!  Yay!!  There is a button I can out on my sidebar for it, but I don't know how to do that.  But I thought I'd let you know;)

Sunshine award(again:)) And more!

Hey again!!  Tomorrow afternoon, I leave for my second week of Summer camp.  This week I will be counseling younger girls from ages 10-12 I think...  It should be super fun!  So,
goodbye again until Thursday!!  Before I go, I thought I would finally fill out these questions for the 2nd time I was nominated for the Sunshine award :D
Thanks so much, Bethan!!  (You can check out Bethan's wonderful blog by clicking her name)

 photo via: Think.Read.Write.Dream
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Answer the questions the person who nominated you asked.
- Nominate a few other bloggers.
- Write the same amount of questions for the bloggers you nominated.
- Notify the bloggers you nominated on their blog.
- Put the award button on your blog

Bethan's questions:
1. When is your birthday (you don't have to say the year)?
March 22nd 1999 (It says I am 15 on my sidebar so whatever)
2. Why did you start blogging?
Good question.  I dunno.  I had started reading blogs back when I was about 11 and I guess I just wanted to try it out, so one day I hit that magical 'create blog' button and TA-DA. Here I am with 33 followers and lots of blogger friends :)
3. What is on the top of your To Be Read pile?
Oh gosh.  I would LOVE to re-read the 'Christy Miller' series for the 3rd time... and I want to finish reading Regina Doman's 'Fairy Tales retold' books.  And finish 'The book thief', which I had to return to the library:(
4. How are you today? :)
Ummm pretty good...
5. If you could be room mates with one fictional character, who would it be and why?
Christy Miller.  No doubt about it.  But I'm sure none of you have heard of her... sooooo maybe Thalia Grace from Percy Jackson.  Yes.  I can't think of anyone else right now... But Christy is super down to earth and sweet and Thalia just plain rocks.  No question there.
6. If you could be one fictional character, who would it be and why?
Be one?  Uhhh... Oh I know... yes its super weird and from a little kid book but.... Kit Kittredge ya know?  The American Girl doll?  Hahaha yes I love her life and then I'd get to be BFF's with her friend Ruthie who is AMAZING hahaha
7. If you could push one fictional character off a cliff, who would it be and why?
Not to be weird... but I've never actually 'hated' a fictional character to that point.  Does this have to be from a book?  If not, then the Fire Lord from Avatar the Last Airbender.  Because well, he's a jerk and banished his son.  And he's evil...LOL
8. What is your favorite BOOK genre e.g classic, fantasy, sci-fi?
Well... sci-fi is okay but I really just like reading regular fiction with everyday mishaps and stuff.  It is easier for me to connect with characters that way, even though the story-line may not be as exciting, it can be quite heart-wrenching!  And historical fiction is good too.  :)
9. DOGS or cats?
One word-Dogs
10. Would you rather read or write?
Why does this question exist?  Is it okay to say I love them equally?  Well as most of us know, writing gets hard sometimes.  I've attempted to write...let me see... 5 novels (?) since I was 8 I think I started my first one.  And here I am, still not finished any.  But now I am writing a fanfiction (which may end up as a longer story thing) :D  And reading is... well we all know how reading feels.  I just don't know!!!

Fun stuff!!!  Okay so I'm gonna tag:
Lila from: Creative thinking
I could go through my whole blog reading list but I will stop at 3 :)

Now for my questions:
1.Who is your favorite blogger?  Put their name and link below!
2.Cookies or Cake?
3.If you had to choose one eating utensil to use for the rest of your life, what would it be?
4.Least favorite song?
5.Fandom(s) you are in?
6.Fruit or vegetables?
7.Why are you in those (^^) Fandom(s)?
8.Desert or Rainforest for a month?
9.Hair texture? (Example: Curly, straight) Sorry, so random!!
10.Are you picky when it comes to food?

Today I will write a semi-detailed over view of camp with some pictures as well!!!
I came to camp a day early to help set up.  Setting up included decorating the main room, and stuff like getting the rooms prepared and cleaning bathrooms (which was actually super fun!).  Just stuff like that.  I shared a room with one of my best friends, Ellen.  So in our free time that day, which was Saturday the 5th, we unpacked and cleaned our room and some of our other friends came over to the retreat center to hang out with us for a while.  That night, my friend and I went to another building where other Sisters live and we made new song books to use during camp.  That was pretty cool too.  It was super fun that day!
All hours before 7pm on Sunday were spent finishing getting everything ready, and some free time, of course besides church in the morning.  That night before the rest of the campers came, the girls going on the July pilgrimage to Germany (like I will in October) left.  It was exciting for me to see other girls going to go to the same place that I will in just a few months!!  At camp, I knew a few other people that came, and became friends with most of the other girls.  Lots of the girls that came were from Ohio, that had come to camp so that at the end of the week they could make their Covenant of Love with the blessed Mother (which I will do in Germany).  It was super exciting to see so many girls making it at one time.
(The Covenant of Love is a special bonding with Mary, mother of Jesus, where you have a spiritual 'exchange of hearts'.  You give her everything and in return she helps you and gives you graces, which means.. well making you a better person and getting you closer to Jesus!)
An overview of each day:
After we wake up and get ready which is at about 7:30-ish, we go to the Shrine for morning prayer and then have flag raising and breakfast.  After that, we have helping teams to clean up, and then have a talk that goes along with the theme of camp.  Either given by a guest speaker or one of the sisters or counselors.
Then we have another activity maybe, and then lunch, helping teams again and just fun activities through the day.  On Wednesday, we went to an Assisted living place and talked to some elderly people and sang for them.  Then we went to the beach which was super fun as well.
I had a job assigned to me all week of ringing the bell, so that people know when the next activity starts.  Lets just say... I started out by forgetting to ring the bell until Tuesday morning.  The Sisters had to remind me almost every time... but hey, it was a fun job...;)  And on the last day, I rang the bell so hard I broke it 0_0... Yeah.  LOL
Oh, and I met a girl there who lives literally like 10 minutes away from me and we go to the same church and same Mass time!! WEIRD!! Her name was Janelli and she was SUPER SWEET ;)

Well thats pretty much it... and heres the pictures!!!  Enjoy!!

I'm back from my first week of summer camp at the International Schoenstatt Center in Waukesha :)
I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!  YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I made tons of new friends XD Lets just say I got like 10 people's phone numbers...
I'd love to go in detail of camp... but I'm so tired.  So tomorrow, I will try as hard as I can to do a super long post with practically the whole schedule and my fave parts and moments.  Oh yes, and pictures!!!

No title as usual:-)

Tomorrow is the kick off, you could say, to my very busy but of course very fun July.  Beginning with the 4th of July.  Parade, cookout at grandmas, fireworks at night... the usual.  And then, Saturday morning, summer camp at Schoenstatt starts!!! I will not be able to post until Thursday when I get home, at earliest. But I hope to come home with some pictures and a good story;) And then I will leave again on the 13th but that does not matter yet as summer camp this week will seem very long!! I will miss Pinterest, for sure!!! LOL
Well, maybe I will have time to do a quick 4th of July post tomorrow while I am home for a short amount of time. On that note... adios!!!

Writing Contest entry

Phew!  Just on time to put out my entry for Morning's writing contest!!
And would ya look at that?  30 followers!  Only 5 more until my current goal!

Well here is the entry!! Enjoy!  I don't think it's that good... but... oh well, I tried.

Janelle looked out the window of her little home. Her mother was cooking in the fire place with small portions of dark hair slipping out of the handkerchief tied in her hair. Her father was still working at the cheese shop, which didn’t pay much. Her brothers were out by the pond, most likely.
Janelle twirled a piece of light brown hair in her finger. Her pale pink dress was clean and her gray blanket was old and comfortably worn.
Outside of Janelle's comfortable little home, she often snuck away to the forest to meet and watch the so called 'strange creatures', that many people these days would capture and kill because they were 'useless' and 'dangerous'. Janelle secretly, one of the people who still loved these unusual and slightly dangerous animals. Even if her family knew she supported these creatures, they couldn’t afford to help keep them alive. So Janelle kept it to herself.

That cloudy day had past and it had warmed up a little. At the break of dawn, Janelle threw on a white dress and her blue hooded cape. She grabbed a basket and told her mother she was going to find some berries, which she would... but she was off to see the animals.

She rushed out into the crisp morning air, breathing it in. She went out to the field, beyond her home and the cobblestone road. She ran through the field of damp grasses and purple flowers and came upon the woods. It was dark, and the sun crept through a few of the entangled branches. You see, after the people started to rebel against these animals, they all fled into the forest, to a hidden sort of oasis. She slowed her pace when she came upon the hidden animals. There was a large parting in the trees above, where the sky shone clear and blue, and the golden sun glimmered. The grass was soft and was greener than any other grass. It was an almost magical place. There were rocks, where the large, bird\lion creature, the griffin, lay. It's eyes opened slowly and Janelle peeked through the dark forest into the 'oasis'. Above her, a phoenix cawed like a raven. The phoenix could do many more things, but the interesting creature kept a low profile. Janelle smiled at the griffin and sat beside and pet it. She looked up as a centaur, a human\horse creature, came out of the brush.
“Hello Janelle.” It said with a very human like voice. It was a calming voice. Janelle replied with a grin and a nod. The phoenix swooped down with a powerful thud as it hit the ground. Janelle looked around and many other centaurs could be seen in the forest. And griffins casually walked amongst them. More phoenix came down from the air and fauns walked out from the forest, some were picking berries off of small branches. Then all went silent at the sight of the very last unicorn. The unicorn walked into the clearing and the voices of the merry centaurs and fauns were hushed. The unicorn began to speak to the other animals, and if Janelle listened close enough, she could understand it. When she listened at first it would sound like a horse neighing. But when she tried hard, it was like a calm breeze that spoke to her heart in whispers. Sometimes Janelle would close her eyes to hear it, and she could almost feel the soft, breezy words. A voice that cracked like the branches Janelle stepped upon, and like the grasses that swayed in the breeze near the field. This time, the unicorn seemed troubled and said, “I have felt a disturbance... Janelle,” the unicorn looked over at her and she looked up and flipped a piece of hair from her face, “You must not come here any longer,” it continued, “I fear that the other humans are ready to strike for the last time... we have lost many of us already,” the unicorn said and the other creatures looked down with sorrow, “We need to escape, and Janelle, you must go and never say a word to anyone of our whereabouts, do you understand, child?” The unicorn finished and looked at Janelle.
“I understand.” Janelle said.
“It is settled, we shall flee in the night,” the unicorn said and the others agreed. The unicorn turned back to the forest, its white mane and coat glimmered a pearly white and its horn... many different colors. Janelle was worried. What if they were caught? Would she be to blame? The fauns gave her berries to give to her mother and she shook hands with them and said goodbye to the others. She took her cloak and ran back to home.

Later that evening, after Janelle's family had gone to bed, she heard many feet going through the streets. She went to the window and saw them. People going to the field, to the... animals. No. It was happening. Janelle thought. She quickly slipped on her shoes and her cloak and went quietly out the door, running very fast. She ran swiftly along the side of the field so she was not seen. She was ahead of the people, she would make it. When Janelle got there, she whispered, “Are you there? They are coming!” There was a sound from the forest and a faun came out. Its eyes were wide and frightened. Janelle looked behind her, she could hear people and saw lanterns not too far away.
“Go!” She whispered to the animals. They quietly ran. The people approached and Janelle stood alone, scared and cold, in the clearing.
“Where are the animals?” One of the people grabbed her cloak and shook her and she fell to the ground.
“I-I don't know...” she realized that was a bad lie, because why else would she be here. The person tilted his head with unbelief. He gestured to the rest of the people and they ran towards the animals.
Janelle stayed behind, she couldn’t risk the be trampled by the fighting people and animals. Before long, she heard cries and fighting in the distance. She snuck closer in the woods and watched, painfully.
Fauns fell to the ground... they could not defend themselves. Centaurs tried to run and fight them off but it was no use, they were surrounded. Phoenix were all shot down by arrows. The animals were not ready for a fight, they were losing terribly and unprepared. Then the great roar of the griffin. A roar and a caw at the same time. It was loud and strong and there was a flash of light as it turned itself to fire. And then the roar sounded painful and fell silent. All that was left was the unicorn. It could not defend itself. The majestic creature put off a blue-ish glow from its white, iridescent coat in the moonlight. Janelle saw one of the people slash it with a sword and the unicorn began to low even brighter and its horn shone with blinding light. All the people fell to the ground. But Janelle could see right through the light, like the unicorn was showing her something. She heard the stick crunching, grass blowing whisper say to her... only her, “Your friends are gone, but they are safe... I will see you elsewhere, Janelle. Thank you for all you have done,” and that that, the light stopped and it seemed all the people were temporarily blinded as the moaned and all kept saying that they could not see.
Janelle was in awe. She laid down on the grass and fell asleep beside the brush.
In the morning, she sat up straight and brushed off her dirty dress. The people were gone and so were the bodies of the animals. The people must have ran home, but what of the bodies of the animals? Had the unicorn taken them? As Janelle ventured through the woods where the fighting had been, she stood right on the center of the trampled, damp leaves and looked out in the deep woods and saw a glowing figure. It was the unicorn. It galloped closer, silently. It looked ghostly, but it was there.
“Janelle,” it said in it's calming whisper, she listened as it's words created a soft breeze around her, “I am here. I will always be here. But I will be hiding. And in the future, when even you are gone, I will keep you safe, and farther in the future in many years, people will not know me, but they will admire me. This will be a pastime and seem only a fantasy, not a reality that was lived by a person. It will be seen as a myth. Not a lie or a tale, but as a story that many people, especially children like you will admire over thousands of years,” Janelle nodded and the whisper ended and there were tears on her face, she was so surprised and shocked and she sat in the woods and thought until she went home and never spoke of this again. Janelle only smiled when people mentioned it. She knew something they didn’t, and she was proud. Every once in a while, the unicorn would speak to her in the woods and she would keep it a secret. She knew it was always there.
