EAT this!

I like food. I always have.  It tastes good and there is so much you can do with it. You can get creative with just about anything.
On the healthy food lane, there is also so, so much you can do with that bowl of lettuce, that dish of yogurt or what I will be sharing today, oats!

Granola is so easy and is so good!
There is many things you can make out of a cup of dry oats.  So right now I am going to share my recipes for what I have tried and come up with!

This right here, is the basic recipe I use. Below I include my favorite add-ins.

Here are three more of my recipes!

Cinnamon Raisin

3/4 cup of quick oats

2-3 TBS. ground flax

2 TSP chia seed

1 TBS powdered peanut butter

3-4 TBS honey

1-2 TBS coconut oil

1/4 cup raisins

A few teaspoons of cinnamon

Banana Walnut

3/4 cup of quick oats

2-3 TBS. ground flax

2 TSP chia seed

1 TBS powdered peanut butter

3-4 TBS honey

1-2 TBS coconut oil

Some crumbled walnuts

Stir.

Slice Banana on top.

Chocolate

3/4 cup of quick oats

2-3 TBS. ground flax

2 TSP chia seed

1 TBS powdered peanut butter

3-4 TBS honey

1-2 TBS coconut oil

2-3 TBS chocolate chips or cocoa powder

Microwave till chocolate and oil are melted. About 35 seconds.

 Stir and enjoy.

(All photos are taken my me, if you use them, please give me credit or link to my blog. Thank you)

All of these recipes are super good and super healthy. I eat this typically between breakfast and lunch or the afternoon. Each ingredient has really great values.
Oats are good for your heart.
Flax is high in fatty acids and fiber!
Chia seed has fiber, iron calcium, Omega 3 and fatty acids.
Powder peanut butter is organic, less fat and much better for you in general.
Honey boosts immune system, good for your digestion, etc.
Coconut oil is good for digestion, metabolism, etc.

If you try any of these, send me a picture! Comment, contact me via social media or email me (elizwolfe99@gmail.com) And I will share your photo!

Happiness is...

{Please excuse my obsession with bands...I don't care what you think}

I think everyone receives happiness in a different way.
Maybe you can only find happiness in money or maybe every cup of coffee you drink is enough to fill you with enough joy to make it through the day.
What is happiness for you?
For me, one of the biggest things is bands. Music is way to escape anything at all. Maybe some things you'd rather not talk about or maybe something small. I use it to entertain myself and it honestly makes me happy. But something just as important are the people in the band. How passionate they are about what they do. And you can tell when people are and are not for sure.
One of my favorite bands, as you probably know, is 5 seconds of summer. A pop/punk band {as they call themselves}, made of 4 guys aging from just turned 18 to 20 years old. Australian and started out by making covers on YouTube. Their drummer joined in 2011, the youngest inn the band was just 15, and they started doing a few gigs at local places in Sydney. They were recognized by Louis Tomlinson from One Direction and the Australians popularity grew fast.
In 2012 they joined 1D for their Take me Home tour and also this year for their Where we are tour. This year 5 seconds of summer is on their own tour and released their first studio album and have an upcoming Live Album.
Personally, i think it is super impressing. From YouTube to traveling the world? Not only crazy, but motivating.
What I'm getting at is, is that today is their 3rd anniversary of being a band. They must be so proud. I know I am.

Then.

                                                       Now.

«Just random»

Hey guys!
Hope you're all doing fabulous.
I thought I'd just talk a little bit about what I've been up to lately (which to be honest is like, nothing) and just random fun stuff:-) But I need to blog about something so.... yeah

  • To start out in the random fun stuff section, I thought I'd give you the link to My favorite YouTuber. He actually lives in Wisconsin which is pretty darn cool.

  • I recently baked some amazing bars which you can find a few posts down:-)

  • I'm still reading The book Thief. I love it SO MUCH. I had it from the library in summer and had to return it and forgot to get it back but my mom bought it on Kindle for me for my trip to Germany to read on the plane mainly. But I still forget I have it!
  • I pre-ordered FOUR. The new One Direction album ˙˚˙☆˙˚˙yayyyyyy!!!
{Be jealous of the magical star}

  • Oooh and I made a photo album of pictures from Germany! It's pretty great:-)

So that's pretty much it....

GERMANY PICTURES!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!
FINALLY, here are my favorite pictures from my lovely trip to Germany!  I will give a bit of detail to each picture, so that you are not confused!  Enjoy xx

Our first view of the original shrine... very exciting!

Our USA group, walking towards the shrine

Father Kentenich's tomb.  What a powerful experience to be in the presence of the founder of the Schoenstatt movement.

This is the arena outdoors, where all the big celebrations and presentations took place.  It held us all... about 12,000 or more pilgrims here!

Torch runners from Italy.  They brought a torch, lit by Pope Francis, all the way to Germany in 9 days.  To welcome to Blessed mother, very symbolically.
Sideways picture XP Of the whole arena, everyone had lit candles.

This picture, I took at Midnight.  The first few moments of the next century of Schoenstatt!!

A view of the surrounding city.

The Rhine river!

A very special shrine:)

Town square of a medieval village!

The buildings all looked like this!

A church from the 1100's/

The altar of the church. It felt so neat to be somewhere so old.

More of the church.

Town square of Munich.  One of my favorite places for sure!

IT WAS MAGNIFICENT!

Here it is again :)

A very decorative ceiling of a church in Munich.

The altar of that church.

SELFIES!!!
(credit to these selfies goes to my friend Clare who is with me in all of them!)
Coke at a rest stop!

Outside the original shrine!

By a cute wayside shrine!

Our matching faux leather bows!

 Ice cream in Munich!

Outside the town square in Munich

With a giant bear in the medieval town :)

In the medieval town!

I hope you enjoyed my specially selected pictures!  Thanks for being patient :)

Homemade Mocha and Mound Brownie bars

Hey guys sorry for my inconsistency on posting.
To be honest I kinda forgot.
But I want to share 2 lovely and so extremely simple recipes!!
First is a homemade mocha:-)

Just add 3 to 5 Tablespoons of cocoa mix to your cup of coffee.
Then add some vanilla creamer or as substitute, a little milk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
Stir together and voila!

Next we have super duper simple and crazily delicious Mound Brownie bars!
[Mounds are those Almond Joy candy bars without the almonds if you're wondering]

What you need to have ready is:

1 pan of boxed or homemade brownies. To make this even simpler I used box mix. But for the oil content in the mix, I used coconut oil. The mixture was a thicker but it baked just fine. However, I did not put it in for the whole baking time instructed by the package.

After the brownies are baked and slightly cool, you'll want to get out...
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
3 cups of coconut flakes

Stir those 2 ingredients together just so the coconut is covered with the sweetened condensed milk.
Spread the sticky mixture over the pan of brownies evenly.
Next you'll need 1 bag of chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil for a coconut-y flavor or just some butter for smoothness.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the last layer and spread so it is covered in chocolate. I put sprinkles on too! And then put in the refrigerator until you're ready to eat it:-)
Ta-da!

Hope you can enjoy these two simple recipes!

My little haul ♥

Hey!

I had posted this and deleted it because my tablet was messing the pictures up... but anyways, here are some of the things I got for my trip.  I decided it would be easier just to do a post rather than a video.
First of all, one of the things I am showing I actually bought because I needed them even if I was not going on the trip but I bought it with my trip money.

First are my lovely black combat boots from Kohl's.  I was not sure how they looked on me at first but now I like them :) They were around $40 and the brand is SO.

This is a textured black skater skirt. also from Kohl's.  I accidentally got a large, and so I just sewed the waistband to fit my size.  The brand is Lauren Conrad and it was around $20.  As a plus, it has pockets!!!!!  SO COOL!
Here is a large purse I got to use along with my carry on.  It was around $20.  I got it at Target and the brand is Mossimo supply Co.
I also bought a tablet for about $130, and the case is still shipping from Amazon.  I got a white case for it :)
Oh, and the very first thing I bought was my carry on!  It looks like a typical black suitcase and inside it is a shade of lilac-ish purple ith light blue palm trees.  Super cute :)

Well I know that was not very interesting... sorry.  But only 8 days to go!! WOOHOO!!

One more thing:  You can follow me on Instagram and Tumblr!  My username on both is: lizziew99

What to title this...what to title this...

...And then I passed out.
Just kidding.  Today I ALMOST passed out!  Interesting story...

There I was, sitting at the 2nd table in first aid class on the first day of our homeschool co-op.  I was fine hearing about how to treat minor burns and cuts, until we came upon the not so wonderful topic of bruises and internal bleeding.  Thats when I pretty much felt my blood pressure drop and I covered my ears, hoping to block out the teacher's voice.  That obviously did not work because (yes, with hesitation) I raised my hand and asked to go lie down.  I could hardly hear a thing and most of what I saw was blurry.  I laid down on the floor and one teacher tried talking to me and I could not hear her AT ALL.  So weird...
My mom came in the room and I sat out the rest of that class.  I guess today I learned how bruises made me sick :)

Next part of this post I'd like to say HOW EXCITED I AM THAT ONE DIRECTION SAID THEY ARE RELEASING THEIR NEW SINGLE ON THE 29TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Can you tell I am excited???

And only 30 days until I go to Germany! Crazy stuff, I tell ya.

Well thats pretty much it....

❧Fall❧ {Imagine}

Hello:)  I hope you are enjoying your day.  Over at my part of the world... or corner of the internet...whichever you prefer... the weather is awesome.  Currently 48 degrees Fahrenheit and cloudy.  I would prefer sunny but oh well.  I'm so happy it is time for fall, though this was one of the first years I actually enjoyed summer weather!  I usually don't :P

I didn't want to put a picture with this post because I want you to Imagine it...
***
It is cold enough that you are slightly uncomfortable and you can feel the breeze creeping between the threads of your sweater.  Your jeans suddenly seem very necessary as the wind picks up and blows your hair around your face.  Your feet are starting to catch on to the cold as well and you decide to walk to keep a bit warmer.  There are leaves here and there on the pavement.  Above are trees that if you glance at quickly, look like a reddish gold ceiling.  But really are trees, some a dark purple-red, some a perfect orange-brown and the majority and dark yellow.  It is at the point where you cannot decide whether you like the weather or not.  You may or may not rather be sitting inside with a book or back on the computer.  You use your cold hands to fix your hair over your ears which are especially sensitive to the cold.  But just because it is cold, it cannot make up your mind that you do not like fall.  It is simply beautiful outside and you think of Halloween and Thanksgiving which leads on to the feeling of Christmas.
Though it is far off, the feeling begins here on your little street outside your warm house.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know I haven't posted for a while.  But I thought I'd jump back in with a Happy Thanksgiving :)

Hope to post again soon with something interesting... I'm considering hair tutorials ;)

14.11.13

Just stuff

So, it's almost Thanksgiving!  I made a video of the things I am thankful for Click here to view my video on Youtube ;)

It's that time of the year where we start to think of what we want for Christmas... and better yet, what to get for other people!  I have a hard time figuring out what I want, hahaha.  It helps to keep a list rather than a mental note... those don't last too long.

Try making that ^ a mental note... ;)

Today's Outfit - Perfectly Sweet

I really like this dress and would definitely wear it.  It looks very comfortable actually.

And then here we have today's hairstyle: A simple roll.  Which probably wouldn't work it my hair...

And to be super nice, I've added a shoe for today as well.  I love this boot so much!

From now on, everyday of the week besides Sunday, I will be posting a different outfit.  Comments are Welcome!

Here's the first outfit.  Your going to need a little cold weather to pull this one off!

Long time no post

I haven't posted in forever!  However, I have been occupied with late summer activities and the starting of school.  Also, I have been bust writing my book and researching for it.  And then of course occupied with Pinterest... hair, clothes, desserts, dream home... :)

Let's see... Halloween is soon (at least it is in my book) I have not decided on a costume yet but I have one idea in mind.  Fall is also just around the corner.  Cooler weather people!  Get excited!  Summer was actually really fun this year... partly because I decided not hate summer because of the weather.
That's all for now.  I'll post again soon!
